Speedy Response
Motorists have put the brakes on Government plans to reduce motorway speed limits according to a new poll by Motorpoint.
Over 82% of the 750 people quizzed in the snap poll voted against the prospect of facing permanent 60mph limits on up to 250 miles of the UK motorway network.
According to the Department for Transport, 60mph limits could become commonplace over the next few years. Average speed cameras and sensors buried in the road would regulate speed limits via overhead gantries.
